Site Scope
Clash Starter Guide is a beginner-friendly Clash manual and download hub: the Downloads page lists how to get each GUI client by platform, the Getting Started guide walks through installation, subscription import, and connection checks in numbered steps, and the Config Handbook covers every config file field with syntax and examples. All content follows a step-by-step, reproducible standard — no marketing fluff.
Background on the Clash Open-Source Ecosystem
A quick primer on how the original core, Clash.Meta, and mihomo connect.
Clash began as an open-source rule-based proxy core. After the original author stopped maintaining it and pulled the repo, the community fork Clash.Meta picked up development and was later renamed mihomo, extending protocol and rule support while staying compatible with the original config format. Today's mainstream GUI clients — Clash Verge Rev, FlClash, Clash Meta for Android, and others — all run on the mihomo core. Tutorials and config references on this site assume mihomo core behavior by default, with any differences from older versions called out separately in the text.

Every client listed on the Downloads page has its release channel and installer source checked before inclusion; links point to confirmed working distribution addresses, and projects that are no longer maintained are clearly flagged.

Every guide and config example is written only after being tested on the actual platform. UI paths, field names, and commands reflect real test results, and steps get updated whenever client updates change them.
